How I’ll be able to raise my children with the same sound financial mindset & work ethic that my mother instilled in me. While the principles came from her, the daily experiences that allowed the principles to set in so early came from living with a struggling single parent in an affluent country. I started working at 10 because it dawned on me that if I made money, I could help out with bills. Life is obviously unpredictable, but I don’t ever plan on being in her shoes when I become a parent. But how then do you convey to a 5 year old who never sees you struggle, that money doesn’t grow on trees and that you have to work for what you want, always?
