Well, I DO have children & I completely agreed - chores should not be a tool for negotiating good behavior or utilized to manipulate children in any form. They are an expectation; you live in this house, you contribute to its upkeep. Period.

Why raise your kids with the mentality that you should only pitch in if you know you’ll be rewarded?
